"I was surrounded by great educators who were so important to my success. They are the best!” Abigail Stokes , Esthetics

Because of Wallace

Abigail Stokes is the second Wallace recipient of Waxing the City’s tuition reimbursement and job placement program.  Stokes, who dual enrolled at Wallace while in high school and attended Wallace as a transfer student, returned to Wallace after graduating from a four-year university to pursue a career in esthetics.

“If it wasn’t for the tuition reimbursement, I could not have finished the program and started my dream job right out of school with benefits,” said Stokes. “Wallace feels like home to me, so it was easy to come back.”

In addition to Waxing the City’s financial support, Stokes credits her instructors for their support in getting her through a tough year that included the loss of her grandfather. “I know my grandfather would have wanted this for me,” said Stokes. “Without Ms. Lori and Ms. Cheryl, this would have been a much harder year. I was surrounded by great educators who were so important to my success. They are the best!”

Abigail will graduate from the esthetics program in December 2023 and begin her career at Waxing the City.
